The Modern War Bride Diet is a mix of the rationing systems used in the United Kingdom and the United States during World War II. It has been proven that women on the homefront were healthier in WWII than they are today. That is why I've taken the best and worst elements of both rationing systems and dietary plans to create an updated and balanced regime.
This diet also promotes the consumption of basic, unprocessed foods, over the convenience foods and snack foods that dominate our eating habits today. It does however allow for 2 'cheats' per month (extenuating circumstances only!) so that the diet is not so rigid it can't be maintained for a long period of time.
